NORFOLK -- A Norfolk plumbing contractor pleaded guilty to bribery charges Friday in federal court. Andrew Zoby Jr. was accused of bribing Norfolk city employees in exchange for work contracts.
Prosecutors say Zoby received federal funds for the work, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
The allegations were revealed during a federal investigation and Zoby was charged in March.
So far, one city employee has been charged with accepting bribes.
Zoby is scheduled to be sentenced in July.
