NORFOLK-The cold, snowy weather led many schools to cancel or delay classes.

It also lead to someone faking an advisory about Thursday classes at Old Dominion University.

An advisory on the ODU Website says, "Attention ODU Community. Someone has been sending emails under a false account about the university's status for Thursday. Do not believe them. Remember that a decision will be made at 5:30 a.m. Thursday. Please refer to the University's home page and/or this Facebook page to verify any announcement about the University's operating status."

An investigation into the fake emails continues.

Copy of the FAKE email:
Because of the recent weather and the large outcry of student emails, Old Dominion University will be closed tomorrow, Jan. 23.

Classes are currently scheduled to resume again Friday. Please continue to monitor the University Announcements for further updates.

There was also a robbery reported in the vicinity of 42nd and Elkhorn. Three homeless people are now even poorer. But who cares, no one reads these emails anyway unless someone gets out of class early.
