NORFOLK -- Dozens of firefighters battled an early morning fire that ripped through a home on Ludlow Street.
Around 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, crews were dispatched to a structure fire in the 2500 block of Ludlow Street.
When firefighters arrived the flames had spread to both floors of a two story home and heavy smoke was visible from the outside.
According to a press release over 30 firefighters worked to contain the flames.
No one was inside at the time of the blaze, but four adults were displaced.
One firefighter was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson with the Norfolk Fire Department confirms the home had working smoke detectors.
