NORFOLK-- Norfolk Public Schools have rescheduled all varsity football games to Saturday afternoons for the remainder of the season.
The change follows the death of a Lake Taylor High School student last Friday.
19-year-old David White was shot Friday night in the 1300 block of Goff Street. Police arrested a 15-year-old in connection with that homicide.
The schedule for this weekend's games is as follows:
Schedule for Saturday, Oct. 6
Lake Taylor vs. Maury - at Lake Taylor - 3:30 p.m.
Granby vs. Churchland - at ODU's Powhatan Stadium - 3:30 p.m.
Booker T. Washington vs Norview - at Norview - 3:30 p.m.
A Lake Taylor vs. Maury junior varsity game has been rescheduled to Friday at 4 p.m.
School officials say they are still working on the schedule for the rest of the season.
