NORFOLK—City leaders are pushing to help adults who want to go back to school.

“If you are thinking about going back to school, take the first step to improve the rest of your life,” Norfolk Councilwoman Angelia Williams wrote.

Saturday, the city of Norfolk hosted a resource fair for adults interested in higher education. The event “Investing in Yourself Through Higher Education” was held at the Scope from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Representatives from all local universities were on hand to answer questions.

Williams came to show her support.  “It's personal for me, because I am in school now. I'm scheduled to graduate from ODU now with my bachelor’s degree in December. I figured there were more people out there like me, who wanted to go back as adults.”

Anyone interested in going back to school, can find helpful links through the city of Norfolk’s website.
