NORFOLK -- The Norfolk bomb squad determined a truck that had been parked for days outside a shipyard contained only building supplies.

Fire, rescue and bomb technicians were called about the unmarked box truck parked in the 300 block of S. Main Street near Colonna's Shipyard.

Crews arrived around 10:40 a.m. and had employees in one building at the yard move to another structure as a precaution, said Battalion Chief Julian Williamson, adding the truck was not on shipyard property.

Police had blocked off the 300 block of S. Main Street and the 200 block of W. Indian River Road for the investigation.
