NORFOLK - Norfolk Police say a couple who robbed the Sun Trust bank in Norfolk just after 1:00 p.m Monday also robbed a PNC bank in Norfolk on July 23.

Charged in both robberies are Sandra Fenton and Duane P. Goodson.

Police said Fenton was arrested when she showed up for her scheduled appointment at Probation and Parole in Virginia Beach around 4:45 p.m. Goodson was arrested Monday night.

Authorities responded to the Sun Trust bank at 129 W. Little Creek Road in Norfolk just after 1:00 p.m.

Police said a heavy-set, white woman in her 20s entered the bank, implied she had a weapon and demanded money. When she left the bank, police say she got into the passenger side of an older-model, green Nissan Sentra with a spoiler on the back and six-spoke wheels.  The driver of the car was described as a black man with a goatee.

Less than an hour later, Chesapeake Police say the Wells Fargo Bank located in the 800 block of N. Battlefield Blvd. was also robbed. The suspect implied she had a weapon and demanded money, according to Chesapeake Police.

Chesapeake Police said Tuesday Fenton and Goodson are considered suspects in the robbery and charges are pending.
