MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE -- The man behind the Mo Money tax preparation company is apparently starting a new company.
In a new commercial posted on YouTube, Markey Granberry and his business partner are answering questions from "reporters" at a news conference, a scene similar to what he's experienced during the federal investigation into his company Mo' Money.
Customers across the country and here in Hampton Roads said they didn't get the money they were due back from their tax returns. That prompted an investigation by local police departments and then by the Internal Revenue Service. So far, no charges have been placed and the investigation continues.
The ad states the company will be called Marquis Taxes and will be opening in Memphis.
