NORFOLK-- A man found dead Saturday morning in the 2700 block of Vincent Avenue has been identitied.

Police say 19-year-old Carlton Dean Junior was shot to death around 5:45 a.m. They have no suspects or motive in the case.

Monday night, family, friends and former classmates were mourning the loss of Dean who was a member of  the swim team at Maury High School.  Dean graduated from the school last year.

Dean's former coach at the Tri-Cities Aquatic Club, Jay Smith,  told WVEC.com that Dean would be missed.

"Just a great kid," said Smith, "like a younger brother almost... kind of grew up around him... eight years his dad brought him to learn to swim he kind of took off.  He and his brother been part of our swim team family and personal family the last 10 to twelve years."

Police are still looking for clues in Dean's murder.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
