NORFOLK - Police say a man is in custody for allegedly shooting a man believed to be his father.

Police were on the scene in the 900 block of Covenant Street in Norfolk at 1:30 p.m.

Spokesman Officer Chris Amos says the victim was taken to the hospital and should recover.

While a suspect is in custody, police have not filed charges.
