Norfolk murder arrest
NORFOLK - A Norfolk man is charged with killing a woman two days before Christmas.
33-year-old Stephen Deon Smith is accused in the death of 33-year-old Lynelle C. Jenkins. She was found dead in her Johnson Avenue home around 11:50 a.m. on December 23.
Officer Chris Amos told WVEC.com the two had been in a relationship, but he wouldn't elaborate on a possible motive for the murder.
Smith was arrested at his B Avenue home a short time after Jenkins' body was discovered, Amos added.
He's charged with murder.
