10:50 a.m. UPDATE: The bus bridge has been stopped and light rail is operating as usual.
The bridge was in operation for less than an hour.
The train was held at Brambleton and 2nd until it was checked out by a safety officer, according to HRT spokesman Tom Holden.
Damage limited to some scraped paint.

NORFOLK-Some light rail riders were taken off The Tide and put on a bus because of train/automobile contact incident Thursday morning.

According to Hampton Roads Transit, the train was westbound when there was contact with a car at Brambleton Ave. and 2nd Street.

There were no reports of injuries or how the contact between the vehicles occurred.
