NORFOLK-- A microbrewer in Norfolk is slowly making a name for themselves in Hampton Roads- O'Conner Brewing.

Joe's job this week is making beer at O'Connor Brewing on 25th Street in Norfolk.

The business started three years ago on St. Patrick's Day and now they are up to brewing 1,000 cases a week.

Joe's job was to keep up with feeding the bottles onto the line. Joe says it gets pretty intense when the brewing is going on.

"This job is not glamorous and you are finding out right now. You know it's hot, it's cold, it's wet, it's dry.  We deal with chemicals that can burn you.  We have hot kettles that can burn you," said owner Kevin O'Connor.

O'Connor produces six different ales and also some seasonal brews.

Kevin O'Conner told Joe he would do all right as a microbrewer, but not to quit his day job.
