NORFOLK -- Dark smoke could be seen rising from the West Ghent section of Norfolk.  

Authorities tell WVEC.com crews are on the scene of fire in a vacant building at the intersection of Raleigh Avenue and Claremont Avenue.

The fire was reported around 11:11 a.m. and crews have closed that intersection for the firefight.

No evacuations have been needed; the cause of the fire, which may have started near a water heater and bathroom, has been ruled accidental.

No injuries were reported.
