NORFOLK -- A fire that broke out in a junked vehicle in a used auto parts lot on N. Military Highway caused emergency responders to close the road in both directions and briefly threatened patrons at an adjacent flea market.

The fire broke out at around 12:30 p.m. at Ingrams Used Auto Parts in the 1200 block of N. Military Hgy., just north of Robin Hood Rd. It was out within about 45 minutes.

The fire department hasn't released details about the incident, but Kendra Mitchell, who was at the flea market, provided us with photos she took.
