HAMPTON -- The 2014 Empty Bowls Event is Friday, March 21 at the Hampton History Museum.
The evening will feature soups created by talented chefs from local restaurants accompanied by crackers, dessert and beverages. Soup tasting, silent auction, raffle, cash bar and bowl selection will take place throughout the Hampton History Museum first floor.
The basic idea of Empty Bowls is simple. The empty bowl is a tangible symbol of hunger in our communities and around the world. Potters and other artists donate handcrafted bowls. Guests purchase tickets to a simple meal of soup and dessert. Each guest selects a handcrafted bowl to keep as a reminder of the empty bowls this event will help to fill.
