NORFOLK -- The deadline for those wishing to run for the 89th District State Delegate Seat is approaching.
The last day for filing as a candidate is October 19th.
Voters in Hampton Roads will go to the polls in December to fill the seat.
The special election will be held to fill Kenny Alexander's seat.
He filled the seat left vacant after the death of State Senator Yvonne Miller.
Miller passed away in July following a battle with cancer.
The special election will take place on December 18th.
