NORFOLK--Police were investigating an accident between an auto and a bicyclist Thursday night.

The accident happened at Saint Pauls Boulevard and Brambleton Avenue around 5:40 pm.

The man on the bicycle was traveling east on Brambleton crossing over Saint Pauls Boulevard, when he was struck by the vehicle traveling west bound on Brambleton Avenue as it was making a left onto Saint Pauls.

Both the cyclist and the driver of the vehicle had the green light to continue travel.

The bicyclist received minor injuries and was transported to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The driver of the car remained on the scene, and was not injured. The car sustained minor damage. 

An investigation is on-going and charges are pending.
