VIRGINIA BEACH---The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel is back open to all drivers, but heavy winds made it a challenging ride earlier this afternoon.

There were level three restrictions on the bridge tunnel, meaning winds were gusting up to 55 miles per hour.

Driving across the bridge tunnel was difficult for restaurant workers at the Chesapeake Grill who make the trip everyday.

"When I came in here today the wind was driving my car as opposed to me driving it," said Susan Moore. "It was pushing it along."

While we didn't see snow on the southside, drivers crossing the bridge from the Eastern Shore say they saw close to an inch in some spots of Accomack County.

"There's still ice and snow on my car," said Angela Green.
