NORFOLK -- Two Hampton Roads Transit buses and a car collided in downtown Norfolk Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:25 p.m. at Plume Street and St Paul's Blvd.

St. Paul's was closed at City Hall for the investigation.

According to Officer Daniel Hudson of the Norfolk Police Dept., one of the passengers aboard one of the buses was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

HRT spokesman Tom Holden told WVEC.com that the car was in the process of passing a stopped bus on St. Paul's Blvd. when it became wedged between it and another bus.

The buses involved are on routes 8 and 20, he added.

The accident is under investigation.
