UPDATE: Police investigate carjacking of medical supply delivery van

UPDATE 2:15 p.m.:  The van was recovered around noon in the 7900 block of Bison Ave, police spokesman Chris Amos said. 

Amos confirmed that both suspects were armed with handguns. 

Amos said the "vast majority" of contents were recovered.  No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.

NORFOLK -- Norfolk police are investigating the carjacking of a stolen delivery van that contained medical supplies. 

According to police spokesman Chris Amos, the van was stolen from the parking lot of a pharmacy and medical center in the 7900 block of Chesapeake Blvd. around 8 a.m. Monday.

Amos says the van was taken at gunpoint by two armed suspects who were wearing face guards, hoodies and dark-colored pants.  

Amos says the victims were private contractors operating an unmarked van.

No injuries were reported.
