NORFOLK - Crews searched two Norfolk schools after bomb threats were made Wednesday morning.
Police say someone made calls just after 7:00 a.m., sending officers and fire crews to Norview Middle School and Norview High School.
Both schools were evacuated as a precaution as the Bomb Squad and Fire Marshal searched the buildings.
The high school was cleared and students and staff were returning to the building around 8:15 a.m., said spokeswoman Elizabeth Mather.
"Our middle school students are on school buses staying warm and dry while the Bomb Squad works," she stated.
The middle school was given the all clear just after 9:00 a.m.
Concerned parents told 13News they got calls from their children and picked them up. Some students said they arrived to be turned around.
Police are investigating the threats and were working to locate the person responsible.
