NEWPORT NEWS -- Police say a man with a brain injury who went missing from a rehabilitation center early Friday morning has been found safe.
Robert Lawrence Pace, 56, walked away from the Riverside Rehabilitation Center at 245 Chesapeake Avenue at 1:45 a.m. Friday morning.
Police say he was found at a home in the first block of Roberta Drive in Hampton and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Security cameras showed Pace leaving the center at 1:43 a.m. and walking in the direction of Blair Avenue and Buxton Avenue.
According to police, Pace was last seen by a nurse between 12:30 and 1:00 a.m. Friday morning. He was discovered missing about 3:00 a.m.
