NEWPORT NEWS -- A soldier at Fort Eustis was arrested Thursday on charges he went online to solicit sex from child.
30-year-old Scott Anthony Fare was communicating with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl, but it was actually an officer in Bedford, police said.
Fare, who lives in Newport News, was arrested on the Army post and turned over to city police on charges of using a communications system for soliciting certain acts against a juvenile. He'll face those charges in Bedford.
