NEWPORT NEWS - A woman is charged with killing her son in what police was a domestic-related shooting.
Police say 39-year-old Sonja Ltanya Adkinson shot 24-year-old Te’Sean Jerrell Wilkerson in their home on Lochview Drive around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.
He'd been shot the back, according to detectives, and died at the hospital.
Adkinson is charged with one count each of murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The cause of the shooting remains under investigation.
