NEWPORT NEWS-Police have charged a woman they say helped her boyfriend escape from the City Prison Farm last week.
Vossavi Rance picked up Eric Fling a short distance from the City Farm after his escape, Police spokesman Lou Thurston told WVEC.com.
Fling got away from the minimum security prison early Friday and was captured around 1:30 p.m. as he tried to steal a woman's car, authorities stated.
Fling was charged with attempted carjacking and escape from custody.
Rance is charged with aiding in an escape.
