NEWPORT NEWS-- Two men were arrested Friday after they allegedly took a bag of drugs from an SUV parked at Newport News police headquarters.

Police say that a detective sitting in an unmarked car saw the men remove what appeared to be illegal narcotics from inside the fuel door of an SUV.

According to police, the suspects were stopped as they tried to leave the facility. Police say they found $270 worth of marijuana in the glove box.

Police arrested 23-year-old Troy Rahman Terry of the 1100 block of 16th Street and 24-year-old Tazaun Marquis Dorsett of the 700 block of Waterfront Circle in Newport News.

Both men are charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
