NEWPORT NEWS-- A State Trooper was involved in an accident on I-64 Thursday night.
According to police spokesperson Michelle Anaya, the trooper was working on an accident scene near Oyster Point Boulevard when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. The Trooper was not injured.
The trooper was outside his car when a 2000 Honda Civic, driven by Daniel John Hudson of Williamsburg, lost control and hydroplaned into the back of the police car.
Hudson was charged with falure to maintain proper control and reckless driving.
