NEWPORT NEWS- Police say they have identified the suspect who robbed a man in a wheelchair last week.

Police released a picture of Khaleed McKoy-Ward, 18, and said that a Crime Line tip led to the identification. McKoy-Ward is described at being a black male, 4' 10" tall, and about 100 lbs.

Police have warrants on file for his arrest.

62-year-old Kenneth Jones was robbed after cashing a $500 Pick 3 lottery ticket at Mo's Convenience Store on the night of February 1st, Police spokesman Harold Eley told WVEC.com.

Jones says he gave the two cashiers $50 each and another woman $5.00. Then he put the money in his pocket.

It was about 8:15 p.m. when the suspect and a friend went into the store at Warwick Blvd. and Old Courthouse Way. He then went out, waited behind the building until Jones came out. He took several hundred dollars from his pockets and ran off.

"I have never had anything like that happen, somebody take my money," Jones said.

Surveillance camera images show the suspect inside the store shortly before the robbery. He's is in his late teens to early 20s and was wearing a blue jacket and a black cap with a red stripe.

Jones was on his way back to a retirement home close to the store.  He said he goes to the store every day and hopes someone will identify the robber.

"He needs to be caught," Jones said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of McKoy-Ward can call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
