NEWPORT NEWS -- Don't forget shots as you get your children ready to return to school. 

Sixth graders cannot start class without a Tdap booster shot.

Back-to-school immunizations will be offered at the Greater Williamsburg Area office and an additional day of service and extended hours at the Peninsula Health Center.

Required vaccines for school-aged children will be provided on a walk-in basis.

Regular hours:  
Monday-Tuesday-Thursday 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 1- 4 p.m.
Wednesday 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Back-to-school dates:
Friday August, 29, 2014 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Tuesday September 02, 2014    8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday September 03, 2014   8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

To ensure that the child is appropriately immunized, parents are asked to bring their child's immunization record.  Required immunizations for school are free, but insurance will be billed for allowable charges.
