NEWPORT NEWS -- The American Heart Association held it's Peninsula Heart Walk on Saturday morning in Newport News City Park. The three mile event started at 10:00 a.m.
More than 1500 walkers turned out to help raise money for research in the fight against heart disease and strokes.
The guest speaker was Gail Alexander Wright, a stroke and heart attack survivor.
