NEWPORT NEWS--Police say a man accidentally shot himself in the leg Tuesday night in Newport News.
Police were called to 33rd Street and Roanoke Ave. around 8 p.m.
Initially, he told officers he'd been robbed on nearby Orcutt Avenue.
The man, whose name hasn't been released, is expected to recover.
