NEWPORT NEWS--Police say a 25-year-old Newport News man was shot to death Tuesday night.
Officers were called to RGN Outlets, a convenience store at 1802 Jefferson Avenue, around 9:30 p.m.
Devoris Thomas Dickerson was shot in the head and torso, according to police spokesman Harold Eley.
Eley stated that a store employee said he heard one gunshot around that time.
Police say Dickerson had been at a relative's home and left to take a walk.
