NEWPORT NEWS- In this season of giving, a Newport News man traveled to Connecticut to deliver a message of hope.

Peter Person and a friend went to Newtown last weekend to distribute 250 signs of hope.

On Dec. 14, 26 people, including 20 students, at Sandy Hook Elementary were killed when a man went on a rampage after shooting his mother at her home.

Person's blue and red signs say "No Matter What, Trust God." If that sounds familiar, it's because he has put them up around Hampton Roads.

Person says he likes to leave that message wherever he goes. He estimates he's placed more than 15,000 signs across the U.S. and in other countries.
