Update:  The J&D courts were cleared around 3 p.m. The streets and ramps have also reopened.

NEWPORT NEWS -- A bomb threat made to the Newport News courthouse Thursday afternoon has led to the closure of the exit and entrance ramps on I-664S at 26th and 27th streets/25th and 26th streets.

Washington Street is also closed between 25th and 26th streets and 26th and 25th streets are closed between Huntington and Washington.

Officials say the call came into the court clerk around 1 p.m.  Three courthouse buildings have been closed as police investigate.
