UPDATE -- Police in Newport News have arrested the suspect in the hit and run accident involving a car and a motorcycle (see story below).
According to a news release, members of the department's Crash Team arrested the driver of the Honda Civic, identified as William Lloyd Selby, Jr., of Newport News Saturday afternoon.
Selby has been charged with one count each of hit and run (felony), being a habitual offender (felony) and reckless driving. He's currently in the Newport News City Jail.

NEWPORT NEWS -- Police are looking for a driver involved in a crash on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard Saturday night that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.
Witnesses tell Newport News Police that the driver of the red Honda Civic was attempting to make a left turn onto Traverse Road against a red traffic signal. The motorcycle driver struck the car in the right rear door. Witnesses say the driver of the Honda Civic sat in his car briefly before leaving the scene.
Police later found the abandoned Honda Civic near the intersection of Harpersville Road and Groom Road, but have not been able to locate the driver.
The driver of the motorcycle remains in serious condition.
