NEWPORT NEWS - Police say a Newport News man with a mental condition is missing from an adult home and needs his medication.

25-year-old Kelsey Jamere Wharton was a resident at the Hilton Adult Home in the 300 block of Main Street. He has not been in contact with his family since Dec. 4th.

Police say Wharton may be trying to make his way to relatives in Danville, where he was raised. He also expressed an interest in going to New York to see rapper "50 Cent."

Wharton is 5 ft. 10 inches tall and weighs about 240 lbs. Police say his hair is currently worn in cornrows, and that he uses HRT buses for transportation.

Due to Wharton's mental issues and lack of medication, police say he is considered a missing and endangered person.

If you have seen Mr. Wharton, please call Newport News police at 757-247-2500.
