NEWPORT NEWS— A 71-year-old woman is killed in a car crash.
Around 3:20 p.m. Sunday, police say Lois Norton was driving on Warwick Boulevard, making a left turn onto Turlington Rd. Another driver slammed into her car.
Norton died from her injuries.
The passengers in the other car, a 35-year-old Newport News man and a 49-year-old Virginia Beach woman, were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from the hospital.
The Newport News Police Crash Reconstruction Team continues this investigation interviewing witnesses of the crash. Charges are pending against the driver.
