HAMPTON--A woman died in an accident on West Pebroke Avenue Friday afternoon.
The collision happened around 2:15 p.m. police received word in reference to a three vehicle crash with injuries in the 1300 block of West Pembroke.
Police say a 2000 Dodge Caravan was traveling east and a 1999 Chevy S10 was traveling west when the two vehicles hit head on. A 2004 Ford Taurus was also struck during the crash.
Two women passengers of the Caravan and one adult male, who was in the S10, were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for injuries. The front seat passenger in the Caravan, Betty Fay Labaire, a 55-year-old Hampton woman who resided in the 600 block of Michigan Drive was pronounced dead at the hospital around 3:30pm.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
