HAMPTON --Police say the second suspect in the murder of a Hampton teen is now in custody.
Travis Fling, 20, turned himself in Sunday night on charges of attempt robbery and use of a firearm while in commission of a felony in the death of 19-year-old Davon Richardson.
Richardson was shot on October 16 and died the next day.
Also charged is Sir Lord Ismial Rashaad Holmes, who is is facing charges of murder, attempt robbery and two counts of use of a firearm while in commission of a felony in the death.
More than 100 people gathered for a candlelight vigil at 101 W. Pembroke Avenue, where Richardson lived and died.
Hampton police say Richardson was found shot several times outside his apartment around 11 p.m. Saturday night. He was rushed to the hospital and died the next day.
Gloria Richardson pleaded with people at the vigil to speak out about what they might have seen that night.
"Somebody was out here. Somebody seen it they could tell you what happened. they know something," said Richardson, "Say a prayer for my grandson. Pray that they find the cowards that shot him."
Both suspects are in jail, police stated.
