HAMPTON ROAD -- There's still time to get involved in Relay for Life events across Hampton Roads.
The American Cancer Society’s signature activity has more than 5,200 relay events that started in April and end in June.
The first lap of every Relay For Life is taken by local cancer survivors.
Walkers raise money for cancer awareness and to fight the disease. The American Cancer Society says 2013 saw a 20-percent decline in cancer death rates since 1991.
To find the Relay events near you, go to the Relay for Life Web site or call 757-493-7940.
