HAMPTON -- At least one person died after a single-car crash Saturday night.

Police said the wreck happened in the 1100 block of North Mallory Street in Phoebus around 11:00 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene they found a deceased male.

Police say that a 1998 Ford Mustang was traveling north on Mallory when it crashed into a tree.

The crash is under investigation, but we're told that speed is considered a factor in the crash.

The man who died has not been identified.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
