HAMPTON-- Police are investigating a pedestrian hit and run accident that happened in the 700 block of Lee Street Monday night.

Officers received the call around 7:15 p.m. and when they arrived at the scene found a 20 year old woman badly injured.  She was rushed to the hospital where she is in stable condition.  Her injuries are considered life threatening. 

Police say the woman was walking east bound on Lee Street when she was struck by the car which left the scene  also going east bound.  Investigators are looking for the black female driver of a faded black, nineties model Ford Mustang.
