NORFOLK -- The fog rolled in Friday morning, blanketing parts of Hampton Roads and making driving a bit tricky.
Around 5:30 a.m., visibility dropping dramatically, especially on the Peninsula. In Newport News, for example, visibility was at a quarter mile; it was just a half mile in Hampton.
The fog was thick near the water, so the Virginia Department of Transportation issued advisories for the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, the James River Bridge and the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel.
13News Now photographer Jason Walsh said it was hard to see the road or across Willoughby Bay near the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel.
13News Now Meteorologist Craig Moller says the gog will burn off as temps rise through the 50s this morning.
