HAMPTON-The Christmas season in Hampton kicks into high gear this weekend with the annual Holly Days Parade.

The theme of the December 14 parade is Joy to the World.

The parade starts at 7:00 p.m. The St. John's Episcopal Church Choir will serve as Grand Marshal of the lighted parade, which will have 92 units, including 22 floats, six marching bands, The Lighted Dog Brigade, military honor units, and Santa, of course.

The parade route begins at Eaton Street, proceeds down Settlers Landing Road and ends at Darling Stadium. Be sure to come out early and secure a good spot. There's free parking is available throughout downtown Hampton.
