Women's health series focuses on menopause

CHESAPEAKE- Chesapeake Regional Medical Center will kick off its free women’s health seminar series on Wednesday, Jan. 22, with a focus on menopause.  

CRMC has partnered with the Red Hot Mamas to provide monthly menopause education programs aimed at providing medical information and peer support to women, men and family members dealing with the physical and psychological impacts of menopause.

The first meeting is “Making Time for Menopause: Unraveling the Mystery,” by Dr. Angela Ferebee, a board-certified and Chesapeake Regional-affiliated obstetrician/gynecologist. Dr. Ferebee will talk about the biological changes that occur during menopause and their relationships to health issues for women.

The seminar is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lifestyle Center, 800 Battlefield Blvd. North. RSVP by calling 757-312-5144; for more information, call 312-6508.
