CHESAPEAKE--Three men, including one from Richmond, are charged in a weekend shooting in Chesapeake.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to investigate a possible home invasion in the 1500 block of Walnut Avenue.
Investigator say 22-year-old James Cooper of Chesapeake, 22-year-old Brendan Graff of Richmond and 27-year-old Daniel James of Newport News went to that home and assaulted two people inside.
One of the victims fired a shotgun filled with birdshot, hitting the three men, police said. The wounded suspects were found soon after on Cardover Avenue.
The three men are charged with robbery and malicious wounding.
