Nearly $40,000 worth of copper wire stolen in Chesapeake

Police say copper wire was stolen from a fenced-in compound owned by Dominion Virginia Power, located in the 500 block of Sign Pine Road, between May 3 and May 6. This is an image taken by surveillance cameras of one of the suspects.

CHESAPEAKE- Police are looking for the thieves who allegedly stole nearly $40,000 worth of copper wire.

Police say the wire was stolen from a fenced-in compound owned by Dominion Virginia Power, located in the 500 block of Sign Pine Road, between May 3 and May 6. 

Police released an  image of one suspect captured on surveillance video.
