VIRGINIA BEACH -- A suspect led police on a high speed chase through Cheapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach Friday morning.
Police officers were attempting to stop the vehicle around 11:15 a.m. at Portsmouth Blvd and Dock Landing Rd. in Chesapeake when the suspect sped off, getting onto I-264E and driving through Portsmouth, to Norfolk, and into Virginia Beach at speeds over 90 miles per hour.
Chesapeake Police and Portsmouth Police assisted in the pursuit.
According to Virginia Beach Police, the driver hit two citizen vehicles and a Portsmouth Police car during the chase, and finally crashed in the 5800 block of Bayside Rd.
The driver, 30-year-old Christopher Harrison, was taken into custody, and is being charged in multiple jurisdictions with reckless driving, hit and run, felony eluding and driving on a suspended license.
No one was injured in any of the crashes.
