Search warrant Chesapeake
UPDATE 1/17 2:55 p.m.: Police confirm a man has been found dead inside the home on Shelview Circle.
CHESAPEAKE-Police and members of the Chesapeake SWAT team have swarmed a neighborhood trying to search a warrant.
Spokeswoman Kelly O'Sullivan says officers are trying to serve a search warrant for child pornography at a home in the 500 block of Shelview Circle. That’s when they heard what they thought was a gunshot.
A robot camera has been sent into the home to give officers a look at what's going on.
All family members of the suspect have been accounted for, police told 13News Now.
13News Now viewers say they started seeing police in the area mid-morning.
One woman wrote, "I saw them putting on their bulletproof armor around 10:00 a.m. There are at least 20 police are in the subdivision with a police car blocking the entrance at Lynnfield and Cedar Road. SWAT just went in."
On the WVEC13 Facebook page, Christine wrote "I wasn't able to go home because the Chesapeake PD has the road blocked."
Neighbor Susan Reber: "I can't believe it. Child pornography? Something like this affects the entire neighborhood." @13NewsNow— PhilipTownsend13News (@13PhilTownsend) January 17, 2014
